about me

I'm Lilithiana, or Lili if we're friends. I've been practising long enough to own too many black candles and not long enough to have stopped learning.

My practice is eclectic: moon timing, candle work, written charms and sigils, with Lilith at the centre. I came to her the way a lot of people do, through the "first wife who refused" story. I stayed once I learned how much older and stranger she is than that.

My altar right now

• A black taper for her and a red one beside it
• A postcard of the "Queen of the Night" relief (see the Lilith page for why that label is complicated) and a small owl figure beside it
• Half a pomegranate, replaced before it turns
• A bowl of salt that doubles as a cleansing dish
• This month's sigil, drawn on the back of a receipt, because that's how it happens

Things I don't do

I don't sell spells, readings or "curse removals". I don't give medical advice, and nothing I write about herbs means you should eat them. If someone online tells you you're cursed and they can fix it for a fee, close the tab.

I also don't claim my way of working with Lilith is the old way or the only way. It's mine. Where history ends and my practice begins, I'll tell you.

Why a website?

Because notebooks get lost, and because so much of what's written about Lilith online is either a horoscope or a horror story. I wanted somewhere in between.
